Simon Ibrahim, PTA, CIMT, CEAS
Simon graduated from Chattanooga State Technical Community College in 2004 where he was class president and recipient of the Clinical Excellence Award indicating the highest level of achievement and competency during his clinical internships in his class. Practicing in the greater Chattanooga and Cleveland regions, Simon has practiced in an outpatient physical therapy setting for over 15 years. He has treated a diverse variety and moderate to the high complexity of musculoskeletal injuries both acute and chronic, pre/post-surgical , adolescent to geriatric as well as occupational health. He has treated athletes across the spectrum from youth to professional in all major sports as well as endurance athletes and implemented strength/agility/injury prevention programs for club level basketball teams in the area. Simon has been identified as a clinician of choice by his patients, colleagues, general practitioners as well as specialists in the area. Simon's skill set sets him apart based on his thorough and comprehensive treatment application with a high level of skill in manual therapy, earning the title of CIMT (Clinical Integrated Manual Therapist), and advanced training in the area of exercise training and injury prevention (SportsMetrics certified). Further training and certifications also have been obtained in areas of ergonomic assessment as a CEAS(Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist) as well as specialized soft tissue mobilization training. As a life long learner, Simon also is an APTA clinical instructor with students from across the country who have interned under his guidance. He is a regular participant with Chattanooga State, volunteering his time in delivering advanced skills training as well as serving on their advisory panel.
